Native Language as Prevention
Language is a large aspect of one's culture. NC has explored how culture can strengthen Native youth and act as a protective factor. In this webinar, participants will learn about the connection between Native language learning and prevention of suicide and substance use. It will explore common challenges and obstacles in developing Native language programs as part of prevention programming and discuss how language programs are part of the healing process of our communities. Participants will better learn how the importance of language learning for youth and how to implement language learning into their own programs. Learn More at samhsa.gov/native-connections/webinars
