I get asked all the time if I think it’s a good idea to retire to the Philippines.

In this video, we’ll take a look at how I always answer people.

But first…

How would you like an ongoing supply of essential news, must-have resources and 100% Free Reports and Courses for Expats Worldwide?

Too easy! Just take a quick moment to subscribe. And click the bell icon. And I promise, you’ll never miss out again.

Please Note, that this video is based on my own personal experiences and opinions.

#1. You Should Retire in the Philippines If You Like Being Surrounded By Friendly, Happy, People.

If you think I’m being simplistic, I assure you that I am not.

The people in the Philippines are hands-down the friendliest you are ever likely to meet in your life.

Some people can actually find that hard to deal with.

Particularly if you are a negative or cynical person, you might find yourself very lonely here.

#2. People Speak English Here.

It makes a huge difference to be able to communicate with folks.

#3. You Should Retire in the Philippines, Because People Here Genuinely Welcome Foreigners.

Filipinos are warm and hospitable.

In my own experience, I have been treated with nothing but respect and helpfulness from every person I have met here.

#4. You Should Retire in the Philippines If You’re Looking For a Good Wife.

If you want to see overwhelming proof of this, just take some time to go through the thousands of comments on my video:

34 Reasons to Date and Marry a Filipina.

It’s had over 10,000 likes, and you’ll read for yourself what hundreds and hundreds of guys have to say
about their own successful, long-term marriages to Filipinas.

#5. You Should Retire to the Philippines If You Love the Idea of Over 7,000 Beautiful Islands to Explore.

You can enjoy some of the most beautiful and breathtaking natural wonders in the world.

If you want to see for yourself, see our video called Philippines Documentary.

#6. You Should Retire to the Philippines Because Housing is Much Cheaper Here Than in the Western World.

As a Foreigner, you are allowed to buy a condo here in your own name.

If you want to buy a home, it has to be in your Filipinas name.

But even there, you can get a 30-year lease on a property and prices are very reasonable.

#7. You Should Retire in the Philippines Because You Can Bask in Sunshine For Most of the Year.

I spent four years in England and I hated the miserable weather.

And If you’re like me and you seriously don’t like a constant supply of miserable weather,

and you much prefer dressing light to wrapping up, then the weather in the Philippines weather will make you feel like dancing a jig!

Because it has a tropical climate, instead of having four seasons, it has two:

A Rainy Season, And A Dry Season.

But even in the rain, temperatures are at most cool, rarely falling below 20 °C (68 °F).

Here, you get to ditch your thermal underwear and heavy coats for beautiful beach weather.

#8. You Should Retire in the Philippines Because It Offers Expat Incentives.

The Philippines welcomes expats and even has a government agency dedicated to attracting foreign retirees.

Expats here receive a number of financial benefits, including discounts for the 60+ crowd,
the duty-free import of $7,000 worth of household goods, and exemption from airport travel taxes.

#9. You Should Retire in the Philippines Because It Is 100 Times Easier Than Thailand.

Once you have permanent residency, you can stay in the Philippines for as long you like (your retiree visa does not expire),

and you can leave and return without reapplying for residency.

Talking of which…

#10. The Philippines Immigration Staff Are Wonderful to Deal With.

I used to absolutely hated going to the Immigration office in Thailand as they always made you feel like a criminal.

It’s TOTALLY the opposite in the Philippines.

Here’s you’ll get a friendly, genuine smile and be welcomed like a friend.

If you’ve experienced a trip to immigration in Thailand and them here,

you’ll probably agree with me in a heartbeat when I say the difference is like night and day.

#11. Easy Transportation in The Philippines.

Keep in mind that I live in a big city and not in the province. Anyway, I love the fact that it’s always so easy to get a Taxi here and that the fares are incredibly reasonable compared to Australia.
