I built a Spotify clone during a long airport layover.

My Spotify listening spikes when I travel, so I thought—why not build my own music app and save $12/month?

Here’s how I did it:

- Focused on three main tabs: Home, Search, and Library

- Treated Spotify like what it really is: a music search engine

- Used sample data to start and later integrated a no-fuss music API

- Coded through typos after a fresh manicure 🙃

Ended up with a fully functional app that kept me going during a 12-hour wait

It started as a hack and ended as a project I’m proud of.
