I try Flatwound strings for the first time!

I’m not sure how I feel about these strings.... I’ve listened to the playback a couple of times now and I’m hearing both advantages and disadvantages.

So I’m gonna play the heck out of them and see if I should invest in a set for my ES-335 😁

Anyway, equipment used today:

Fender Telecaster ‘52 heavy relic (2017) with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound bridge pickup and a Bare Knuckle Stormy Monday neck

Vox AC30S1
No pedals at all

No computers, no audio interfaces, no special microphones.... all recorded straight to my iPhone, which was placed a few inches from the amp’s grill cloth.
