Upgrade Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10, Free. Yes, this still works in 2020!

You can quickly and easily upgrade your Windows 7 or Windows 8 Home or Professional version of Windows to Windows 10 at no cost. Even though the free upgrade supposedly ended back in 2016, as of September 2019, you can still download the Windows 10 upgrade right from Microsoft's site and install that on your Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer.

When you finish, you'll have a fully activated and legit digital license for Windows 10.

Extended support for the Windows 7 operating systems ends January 14, 2020. Make sure you upgrade to Windows 10 so you have an operating system that is receiving security updates and patches.

Windows 8 extended support ends January 10, 2023, so while a few years away, upgrading to Windows 10 today will future-proof your computer.

The upgrade process for me took just a little over an hour and was relatively simple compared to the old days of installing operating system upgrades.
