2001-2007 Toyota Sequoia Rear Latch Handle Replacement/Fix (using Zip Ties)

This is my first attempt at creating a DIY HOWTO for replacing the rear latch handle/cable on a 2001-2007 (first gen) series Toyota Sequoia, so the video is raw footage without any editing.

So, in a nutshell after replacing this handle a number of times as well as dealing with incorrect cable sizes associated with non-OEM parts, I got fed up with dealing with this issue. Also- refusing to pay for expensive parts that will eventually fail again, I elected to go a different route and use zip ties as a replacement handle. It was inspired by another youtube video on a hack for this, so can't really take all the credit- just used a different approach. This video will show you what I did.

There are very good HOWTO videos out there that show how to remove and re-install all these components. Use those as your primary guidance, but once your locking mechanism is out, you will be able to perform this same fix.
