Hurricane Zeta makes landfall in Louisiana as Category 2

Hurricane Zeta made landfall in Louisiana as a Category 2 storm on Wednesday evening, bringing heavy rains, storm surge and high winds to the state.

Gov. John Bel Edwards said they expect the storm to pose the greatest threat due to wind, but said they were well prepared for the storm. He asked people to stay "weather aware" and on Thursday to look for opportunities to "be a good neighbour" and help each other, while still observing COVID-19 safety measures.

The storm has already caused some damage, with a news crew in Plaquemines Parish, La. capturing footage of a trailer being blown apart down a highway, while the Golden Meadow Sheriff's Office released footage of a boat being seen on a road near a large body of water.
