Vincenzo Capirola - Padoana Alla Francesa - A renaissance (rebirth) for life music
Little is known about Vincenzo Capirola´s life, but it is certain that he was born about 1474 in Brescia from a noble family, had a high level education, was the author of the famous Capirola´s Lute Book and that after have travelled a lot, he eventually established his career as a musician and composer in Venice and died there about 1548.
I uploaded this video wondering that Vincenzo used to watch this very same sunset in Venice while playing his lute.
Travel back in time and imagine yourself having the privilege of being beside him listening to his music and appreciating this landscape from his house´s window.
This music also makes me meet my inner child and arises in me the sense of making peace, knowing and strengthen the bonds with myself, the mankind and the Universe. In other words, it is Renaissance.
From the CD Vincenzo Capirola Lute Book
Disques Pierre Verany
Federico Marincola, lute
