Live Soaking Worship Music with Julie True // Pure River At The Ryman

This live soaking worship session was captured during a live stream event called Pure River at the Ryman. It was truly an honor for me to participate, and to sing from the stage of The Ryman here in Nashville, Tennessee, my hometown for the last 40 years. Pure River was sponsored by Scott and Sarah MacLeod and their ministry, Harvest Sound, along with Ricky Skaggs. It was a time to call forth the ancient sounds of worship, resident in this magnificent building, and to release worship, praise, and intercession over our city, nation, and world.

Originally known as the Union Gospel Tabernacle, the Ryman has resonated with hundreds of thousands of voices permeating this place through the decades. Ancient stones of revival were laid in the literal foundation and dedication of this building.

As Ricky Skaggs said, It is a place that has a higher calling than just a music venue. When God’s Spirit is permeated in brick and mortar as a church, a change in name doesn’t change the purpose of the building. So in response to a dream by Scott’s son, musicians came together over a 24 hour period to sing and release worship and praise, and to pray. It was reminiscent of the strategy that Jehoshaphat used in days of old, when he sent the singers out in front of the army, and God gave them victory. He heard their songs of praise, and he destroyed their enemies in a supernatural way. We need that same supernatural pushback of darkness in our world right now.

I encourage every lover of God, and singer of worship and praise in the world to lift up your voice daily in singing to God. Sing your prayers and your petitions, your declarations, worship and praise. Permeate the atmosphere with worship because the Lord inhabits the praises of his people. And when we connect our heart to a sound, it goes straight to His heart.
