Project Songbird Review - The Final Verdict

From the mind and team behind games like Summerland and Dread X Collection 5’s We Never Left comes a brand new psychological horror experience, Project Songbird. The story largely focuses on a single character, Dakota, who has been suffering from writer’s block, resulting in her latest musical release getting bad reviews just about everywhere. In her attempt to fix this, she decides to spend a month in a remote cabin in the Appalachian woods, completely disconnected from the outside world.

The horror gameplay of Project Songbird is far from revolutionary; you will spend much of your time walking around, exploring your surroundings, and solving simple puzzles. Every now and then, however, you will also have to take on strange creatures and experience surreal shifts in reality that are bound to leave you dumbfounded. Generally speaking, the experience is a good one, with great writing and fantastic voice acting. The only downsides here are the general shallowness of gameplay and a few technical hitches here and there.
