Full title reads: "Duke of Connaught addresses British Legion at Kingston Barracks".
Kingston-upon-Thames, Greater London.
M/S of Prince Arthur (Duke of Connaught) arriving at barracks to inspect Surrey branches of British Legion. A crowd watch as he is greeted by Major Gilbert E. Cohen (in civvies). M/S of Cohen commanding a troop of British Legion men (all in civvies) on parade ground. They raise their regimental flags.
C/U of Prince Arthur giving a speech. He praises the work of the British Legion in promoting - "good fellowship and good behaviour, and kindness and thoughtfulness for others". He goes on to say how without these virtues countries descend into "ghastly states" and mentions the Spanish civil war.
