MAZ 2000 Perestroika: conquered Paris and destroyed the USSR

In 1986, with the beginning of Perestroika in the USSR, the Minsk Automobile Design Plant began construction of a revolutionary modular truck MAZ 2000 Perestroika. Built in just three copies, the unusual tractor conquered Moscow and Paris at auto shows. The political and economic crisis, which led to the collapse of the Soviet Union at the end of 1991, prevented the car from being fully put into production.
