Unboxing The Parkhust Spaulding Boot In Natural Chromexcel | Unboxed In August 2021

This video shows my unboxing of Parkhurst's Spaulding Boot in Natural Chromexcel. The Spaulding is an Oxford laced brogue boot, what Englishmen would call a Country Boot, and in the Natural Chromexcel makeup is an interesting mash-up of a gentleman's boot with leather that patinas without graces.

What I like about this boot at the unboxing, is the sleek toe shape of Parkhurst's old 18 last, and the "hand" or feel of the Chromexcel uppers. The brogue panels reputedly take twice as long to stitch and 1.5 times as much leather as one of their regular boots. The work shows in the aesthetic of the boot, and the closed Oxford lacing is unusual enough to draw the eyes.
