Howard the Duck Unboxing and Battle vs. Hyperion | Marvel Contest of Champions

Happy Holidays guys! Here are my score and rank results for the 4-star Howard the Duck arena, Avian Stadium. In this unboxing episode I collect 3-star Howard, awaken him, and bring him to Signature Ability Level 11.

Howard comes from Duckworld, his home planet from an alternate dimension. He's a master of the Quack-Fu fighting style and brings a tanky Mech suit to the Contest.

The Duck starts each fight with 8 stacks of Armor. The Armor has a chance to be removed every time Howard is hit. When Howard attacks or is hit, he has a chance to gain a stackable but temporary Fury buff to increase his Attack and Crit Damage.

Howard's first Special gives his enemy an Armor and Attack reduction Debuff that lasts for the remainder of the fight, and can have up to four stacks. The Duck's second Special has a chance to activate Debuffs such as Heal Block and Power Drain. Howard's third Special grants him a temporary Buff based on his enemy's Class and a bonus effect for his Critical Hits.

Howard's Signature Ability is Mash ALL the Buttons! When unlocked, the Duck has a chance to trigger either Self Repair or Thunderquack when his health reaches below 60% and 30% Max Health. Self Repair heals 20% of Max Health and Thunderquack deals bonus Energy Damage. Similar to Ultron's Self Repair, both effects can be interrupted by Stunning Howard.

Skip to 1:22 for Howard's champion screen or to 2:58 for his Signature Ability. At 3:14 the Duck dukes it out against the powerful Hyperion! This boss fight is from the first map of the third chapter of Howard and Hyperion's Holiday Hijinks (Heroic) event quest.

I've enjoyed consistently making these champion unboxing videos ever since the first one with Captain America WWII (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y7CQ8bjyQc) when I had fewer than 100 subscribers! 18 months and 18k subscribers later I've now grinded in well over 80 featured champion arenas to successfully collect and/or awaken every new playable free champ introduced in the game (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt3JdAbGhrXxIIt4CVb0epmEqLX7iBXPA). Awakening and Signature stones weren't available in the beginning so I competed for many of the same champs in more than one arena!

As much as I would like to keep doing it, winning a newly released champion has extreme time demands and is an unsustainable practice to do consistently in the long run. With this in mind and this year coming to a close, I've decided to end the unboxing video streak here. I may grind for an interesting champ every now and then, but will no longer do it for all of them.
