While Alberta may be the main source of Canadian oil & gas in the 21st century, southwestern Ontario was where Canada's oil industry got started in the 19th and early 20th centuries. In this video I take a look at the early history of oil production in Canada, and examine the ingenious man- and steam-powered technology that was invented to keep the oil flowing.
