They Knew How To Get & Hold A Husband

As many of you know, I am a collector old 16mm films, especially ones that deal with the social issues Americans and others were involved with over the last 60 years, especially the 1950s and 1960s. The organization that is being shown in this documentary is called Fascinating Womanhood, and they had a rather precisely developed set of techniques that held the man from going astray. Reducing or eliminating extramarital affairs. It involved basically doing what your husband wanted and needed and putting yourself aside as his wife. It was based on certain Christian values but not connected to the church in any way. The organization still exists. And I know that some percentage of women practice what they taught and believe it is the "right thing to do." I can't speak to that but for myself, my wife would be sickened by having to behave in this way. I do believe that a strong marriage is one of the best most wonderful experiences in life and hope it for everyone watching this clip.
