ReMastered: The Miami Showband Massacre Trailer (Netflix)

In 1975, on the way home from a gig, the apolitical rock group The Miami Showband fell into the crosshairs of a Loyalist paramilitary group that planted explosives on their bus at a fake checkpoint.

But bassist Stephen Travers survived the false flag operation. A 2019 Netflix documentary tracks Stephen’s efforts and recent discoveries to tie the bombing and subsequent attacks to direct orders given by the British government.

Stephen Travers co-founded Truth and Reconciliation Platform with his friend, Eugene Reavey, whose three brothers were murdered in 1976 at their family home in County Armagh. TaRP was established to give victims, regardless of their political, religious or cultural background, an opportunity to speak for themselves; to tell their own story – in their own words – so that the terrible consequences of political violence will never be forgotten and the mistakes of the past will never be repeated.
