Mozart's violin in Lviv became a real cultural sensation in Ukraine!

In the second season of the LvivMozArt festival in 2018, the original violin of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Costa Violine - sounded in the Lviv Opera House in the hands of the famous violinist Frank Stadler under the baton of Oksana Lyniv.
For the first time in Ukraine, and even more - for the first time among the CIS countries!

Herewith we present a documentary about Mozart's violin in Lviv: how it was, what difficulties it encountered on its path to Ukraine, and why it is so important for all of us.

Collaboration with the most famous Mozart organization, the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation is a guarantee for the development of our festival and its status in the world.

The third season of the festival, which will start in a week, also promises surprises in conjunction with the Mozarteum Foundation, in particular, the showpieces for the exhibition „The Mozart Dynasty: Music and Literature”, dedicated to the 300th birth anniversary of Leopold Mozart.

The professors of the Foundation will also present their reports: Dr. Ioana Geanta in the framework of the Symposium on the 3rd of August and Dr. Ulrich Leisinger in the framework of concert „MOZART – CONNECTION OF GENERATIONS” on the 6th of August.

Brief information: the instrument, that belonged to W.A.Mozart was made by Pietro Antonio Dalla Costa in Treviso (Italy) in 1764. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has used it during the last years of his life in Vienna.
