It would appear that Marvel Rivals is already a huge hit on Steam, as the concurrent player count peaked at 444,286 within its first 24 hours of release. The upcoming title by NetEase Games is looking to pull in as many players as possible, as Marvel Rivals currently supports full crossplay between PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It does not, however, support cross-progression.

Marvel Rivals is a third-person hero shooter where teams of 6 players compete against one another. The game currently features a roster of 33 characters to choose from, comprised of heroes and villains like Wolverine, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Magneto, Loki, and Iron Man. In a recent trailer, Marvel Rivals may have also teased the villain Knull. NetEase Games has confirmed that all current and future characters will be free for all players to use.
