Undertale: Bits and Pieces (Metal and Magic Update Pacifist Longplay)

Here we are, Undertale: Bits and Pieces, the Metal and Magic update! It's been a long time coming. So happy to finally be able to play this game again, and show it to everyone. There's been so much going behind the scenes, I've been barely able to keep up! In the time between now and the original videos, I've actually become a beta tester of the project!

Watching something like this grow naturally has been a blessing, I'm so thankful to be a part of it.

Now, let me say this before I get into spoilers: If you're at all interested in playing the mod for yourself, do so before watching this video! Most secret stuff I show off in this video, so if you're a stickler about that kind of thing, do that first and come back! I think it's safe to say that this is the most impressive mod I've seen for Undertale, so consider that an incentive! New bosses, new areas, it's a whole package. Okay, now time to talk about everything:

Something that surprised me about this mod is that even though they're releasing updates by area, new locations and features get added to the previous areas as well! Stuff like HOME, the Mirror Room, Hotterland, it's a lot to play around with! It's so interesting, I think my favorite new area is the hot water bath house. It's so pretty, mint is my favorite color. How this all gels with the original content makes me so happy.

Frisk is also the cutest thing ever. I can't get enough of them. The sit feature is so important. All the little stuff, like the slide and the live feed of the MTT fight, they add so much to the experience.

The new characters are also amazing! The Troubleboys make me ecstatic, I think Portabie would make a great plushie. They're from the art book, though there are tons of other important new designs here as well. All sorts of really pretty npc designs get thrown around like they're nothing, and the world feels so much more lively. How the mod includes things from the art book, little references to other officially related media, it's so fun. I'm really looking forward to other enemies from the book getting added back into the game, heheheh. Coolbalt is something else, let me say.

I'm obsessed with Undyne's new spritework. She looks so pretty, the Royal Guard sprites are so imposing and powerful. One thing that really gets to me about this mod is the power it has to reinvigorate my love for this world and its characters. It has a personality on its own, but is also able to make me feel for the original game too, again. I think it's a great way for veterans of the game to reexperience it in a new light.

All that said, though, disclaimer: This playthrough was recorded on version 4.0.4 of the game! Some things may be changed or fixed in newer versions, so sorry if that causes trouble at all!

Okay but one more thing... there's a really obvious cut in this video. It's at (2:05:11,) and I'm really sorry about that. This recording was all in one sitting, but something personal came up, that forced me to shut the game off there.
