This film is eerily among my favorite gay films of all time. The romance of Theo and Frank is so intrinsically familiar and the natural setting is haunting and simply beautiful in a truly memorable way. This story sticks in my mind and never seems to lose its luster.

When I wrote the song "Waywardly Lad", The Secret Path was the only film out of my entire repertoire that came to mind. I think it is a perfect fit.

Kudos to Richard Mansfield for making this great work of modern cinema.
