Garrett Morris shared the impactful influence the late Judge Stamps had on his life. Morris revealed that his life took a dramatic turn after encountering Judge Stamps, who spared him of dire consequences when he could have been more punitive. At the time, Morris was struggling and often homeless. Later in his career, Morris got the chance to thank Judge Stamps for his benevolence, but the judge consistently reinforced that he was simply doing what he believed was right. Morris also credited the late Harry Belafonte for kickstarting his career in entertainment. Morris viewed Belafonte as a profound inspiration, not only for his talent but also for his dedication to activism and civil rights.
