Unique Skydive - Belly Big-Way Body Impact

Going on a Belly big-way formation load skydive! This is the first time I've been on a large-formation (16 jumpers) skydive and also the first time I've been on a belly way doing a formation load (and also 1st time at a smaller-ish dropzone doing a formation load). Wow, lots of 1sts!

While the jump was fairly straightforward, I was struck in the back of the head by another jumper's knee as they went through the middle of the formation. This left me a bit confused for a brief moment (notice how I don't let go of the jumper I was docked on). Could have been a lot worse, and luckily I get my wits about me prior to deployment. My neck did hurt afterwards though, and the jumper at fault did have a chat with me and apologized. Mistakes were made, but we all do that. His biggest mistake was approaching high on the formation instead of on level. Remember to always practice the fundamentals!
