Gothic Stiletto Nails with Transparency and Lace Design

Hiya

Today I’m doing a gothic, transparent nail on the gorgeous Abby from My Beautiful Nightmare.

I’ve already prepped the nails so I can go straight in with the form. I’m then going to dehydrate and prime the nail. I’m going to start with Clear Acrylic. I’m then going over with black acrylic at the cuticle and then blend it down the nail to smoke it out, keep the tip clear. Encapsulate the tip of the nail in clear, leaving the cuticle area then create your apex over the black. Make sure the free edge is thick enough and add more clear if it isn’t.

I’m then going to file and buff the nails.

I’ll pop some black acrylic paint on a palette to water down. I’m then going to use that pain to create a lace design on the edge of the nail. I’m then watering down the paint more and creating a fishnet over the top of the original lace. I’ll add dots where the lines cross over.

I’m going to finish by top coating the nails.

With the two nails I have left, and I’m going to take an 80 grit file and score the nail a little - creating scratches on the surface. We’re then going to use black metallic and cover the nail. Wait for it to dry and topcoat.

Finish off with cuticle oil.
