Botox neck lift

3 minute neck lift or the Botox neck lift.

The 3 minute Botox Neck lift or the Nefertiti neck lift is a new technique where by placing multiple injections of Botox along the lower jawline as well as down the side of the neck.
Botox targets muscles such as the Platysma. The platysma is a sheet of muscle that runs from the jawline all the way to the clavicle. It acts by pulling down the neck.

By injecting small units of Botox into the insertion points along the jawline and the belly of platysma I am able to ‘lift the neck’- this procedure is painless, and takes only 3 minutes to perform.

A well defined jawline with a long neck has been a sign of beauty since the time of the Egyptians. The 3 minute Nefertiti neck lift procedure which creates a well toned, smooth neck, and lifted jawline was named after Queen Nefertiti, whose bone structure continues to be admired in modern times.

Typically I use 25-35 Units of Botox or Disport Times retimes 2.5- in total depending on the strength of the platysma muscle. Once these muscles are relaxed the net effect is an upward pull from facial muscles, creating a younger looking jawline, neck and face. For a lasting result the treatment needs to be repeated every 3 to 4 months.

Neck rejuvenation can also be achieved using lasers such as Fraxel or V Beam – this is especially good to treat conditions such as Poikiloderma or Red Necks. Poikiloderma presents as an uneven mottled appearance on the sides of the neck, typically sparing the area under the chin. This condition is extremely common in Brisbane, Australia where I practice. It is due to UV exposure, perfume and genetics.
