র‍্যাব গঠন করেছে বিএনপি। আবার তারাই র‍্যাবের বিলুপ্তি চেয়েছে। বিএনপির প্রয়াত চেয়ারপারসন, সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়া ২০১৪ সালে র‍্যাব বিলুপ্তির দাবি জানিয়েছিলেন। সবশেষ ড. ইউনূসের আমলেও র‍্যাবের বিলুপ্তি দাবি করে বিএনপি। অথচ সেই বিএনপিই এখন, র‍্যাবকে নিয়ে ছেলেখেলা খেলছে।
