DJ with Apple Music on rekordbox, OMNIS-DUO, & XDJ-AZ | Overview

AlphaTheta Corporation has made another step toward offering DJs complete creative freedom by adding support for Apple Music to its rekordbox DJ software and selected hardware systems. This update enables artists to play seamlessly using Apple Music’s massive library of over 100 million tracks, and its expertly curated playlists, when played with rekordbox and supported DJ gear.

With the OMNIS-DUO and XDJ-AZ all-in-one DJ systems, DJs can now connect directly to Apple Music via the internet and get instant access to the latest club tracks, chart hits, and nostalgic classics, plus favorite playlists from their Apple Music account. This integration enables users to explore new creative possibilities in their DJ sets.

To unlock these features, updates were released for rekordbox for Mac/Windows (ver. 7.1.0), rekordbox for iOS (ver. 4.4.0), OMNIS-DUO firmware (ver. 1.21), and XDJ-AZ firmware (ver. 1.21) on March 25, 2025.

*An Apple Music subscription is needed to use the streaming service.
