Here are 7 famous people with autism that you probably don’t know they were on the autism spectrum. Some very intriguing people in this list!

1. Satoshi Tajiri
The creator of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri, has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. His colleagues have described him as “reclusive” and “eccentric” – but his unusual brain is the mastermind behind one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time.

2. Greta Thunberg
Climate activist that uses Aspergers as her super power! Inspiration girl who is changing the world.

3. Chris Peckham
Famous BBC presenter from the UK that uses his Aspergers diagnosis as a platform to educate everyone on autism.

4. Susan Boil
A famous competition contestant who has an Aspergers diagnosis. Despite not winning the competition Susan is very successful.

5. Anthony Hopkins
Anthony Hopkins was diagnosed with Asperger’s when, as he put it: “my wife was trying to figure out who she was married to.” He credits Asperger’s syndrome with making him extremely restless - and, in turn, an unusually hard worker.

6. Courtney Love
Diagnosed at the age of 9, she struggled as a young girl and people saw her as very odd and creative.

7. Gary Numan
UK musician very famous in the 70s also has Aspergers Syndrome and credits this to his unique style and musical talent.

There are lots of famous people with autism, and famous people with ADHD but we don’t always see this in the public eye.

It is not to say that they are hiding the fact or that the don’t want you to know, it is just that some famous people with disabilities are not putting the disability at their forefront.

There are super commonly known wants like Dan Ackroyd and Temple Grandin, but i wanted to look at famous people with Asperger’ syndrome that people didn’t already know about because this was super interesting.

Growing up, to see idols that you look up to on the spectrum or famous people with dyslexia was so empowering and helped you feel more normal in a chaotic world.

I think that seeing famous people with hidden talents like autism presents is just amazing and an amazing thing for the autism spectrum community.

I love knowing if a famous person has autism because this shows me how there are so many amazing people on the autism spectrum and this is just amazing.
