LEH (LADAKH) Via Atal Tunnel (by Road) | Ladakh During Covid 19 (Year 2020) - E01

Atal Tunnel: World's longest high altitude (3,000+ m) tunnel! I feel so proud of this particular doorway to heaven :)

I stayed in Manali for over two months and decided to travel to Ladakh by road. Started my journey on 17th October and this is all you need to know to have a comfortable trip to Leh.

Manali - Atal tunnel - Sissu - Keylong - Tandi - Jispa - Deepak Tal - Suraj Tal - Baralacha - Gata Loops - Pang - More Plains - Taglang La - Upshi - Leh

Some key point to remember -

1. Aclimitize - so so so essential! You will not be able to enjoy the route if there is uneasiness, headaches, nausea. Make sure you have enough water as you gain altitude

2. Layer Yourself - even if you do not want to, have extra clothes handy so that you can cover yourself up as soon as the temperature falls

3. Network is poor once you cross Darcha. After this, you will only be able to get connective in Leh. Ensure that your loved ones are well informed.

4. Pandemic is very much real. So things like accommodation, dhabas, food stalls, etc are still shut. Only Pang is open as of 17th October 2020
