I miss outer wilds.

I miss it.

Most games lose some replay value after you've beaten them for the first time, right, but there's still incentive to come back. Sure, I'll know what happens in the story, and I'll know exactly where to go and what to do at all times, but the mechanics alone can give me enough of a reason to return.

Fighting the bosses, rewatching the cutscenes, trying to beat the game faster than you could before, even the movement mechanics themselves. They can incentivize you to play the game again. But outer wilds is not like other games. It doesn't have levels, it doesn't have bosses, or combat, or enemies, or any of that. The only incentive to play that the game gives you is learning about the mysteries of the world you find yourself in.

So what do you do when the only major driving force to your progression in a game is the knowledge you learned along the way? When the only thing that actually made you want to play in the first place was the mysteries that were yet to be uncovered?

How do you replay something like that without it just being kinda boring?
