Hey Flower Tribe , a lot of you have asked the question … Why aren’t my hydrangeas blooming?
Here are a few reasons why your hydrangeas may not be blooming .

1. Your hydrangeas may be newly planted and may take 2-3 years to bloom
2. Your hydrangea is not getting the proper amount of sun
3. Your hydrangea is not getting the proper amount of water
4. Over pruning can stop your hydrangea from blooming
5. Too much nitrogen in soil may inhibit bloom growth on hour hydrangea (sometimes lawn fertilizers get blown into flower beds and raise the nitrogen level )
6. Planting your hydrangea in the Wrong planting zone may prevent your hydrangea from blooming
7. A spring cold snap, Winter zap , may have killed off the new buds on the old wood on your hydrangea plant in your garden
8. Did you receive the hydrangea for Easter or Mother’s Day around the time when most nurseries in your area don’t sell hydrangeas yet ? Did it have decorative foil around the pot?” If so, your hydrangea may be a “gift” hydrangea, meant to be enjoyed for the holiday but not winter hardy in your area.

The hydrangeas in this video are Endless Summer Hydrangea ( these are the blue hydrangeas) and Limelight hydrangeas ( the white hydrangeas ) and the blooms grow on both old wood and new growth which means they can give you fresh flowers from spring through summer.
