The climactic events in the 6th year of the 6th decade of the 11th century in England had their origins much earlier in the 1000's, with the likes of the great Viking lords Cnut the Great and Sweyn Forkbeard, as well as those Anglo-Saxons who fought tooth and nail against them like Edmund Ironside and Edward the Confessor.
