Hamdan bin Mohammed leads F3 team to win Gov-Games for the second year in a row.
Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council His Highness Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum led F3 team to a thrilling win in the Gov-Games 2019 for the second year in a row. The Gov-Games 2019 finished today in Dubai after four days of thrilling tough competition.
F3 team donated the AED 2 million prize money for charity.
The F3 men’s team won the games after finishing first in the Battleship obstacle course. Abu Dhabi Police team came a close second, followed by Dubai Police team. Sheikh Hamdan crowned the three winning teams.
Deputy Chairwoman of Dubai Culture Her Highness Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum crowned F3 women’s team winner of the Gov-Games 2019 women’s segment. Team Dewa was the second team to complete the course successfully followed by Dubai Airports team.
HE Abdullah Al Basti, Secretary General of Dubai Executive Council, congratulated Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the winning teams.
The Battleship Course involved going through the various sections of the obstacle such as climbing a curved wall, rope climbing, passing through tubes, tightrope walking, ziplining, wading through freezing water and seesawing as a team, before working a pole through a maze without touching the sides and finally breaking a cement ball with a hammer to find a key and unlock the final stage.
The men had to break two cement balls and find two keys to unlock the last stretch of the course, compared to the women’s one. The final stretch involved running, wading through seawater and crawling on sand wearing 20kg vests (additional heavy sandbags for men) for 800 metres towards the finish line.
In the men’s segment, F3 team finished the Battleship Course in 24:07 minutes, followed by Abu Dhabi Police team in 24:57 minutes and Dubai Police team in 28:15 minutes.
In the women’s segment, F3 team finished the course in 21:55 minutes, Team Dewa in 47:10 minutes followed by Dubai Airports team.
The winning teams took home Dh1 million each, while runners-up received Dh300,000 each and the second runners-up got Dh200,000 per team.

Words can not do justice to the gratefulness I feel for being a part of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum team F3 @govgames. Training together the last seven weeks has been gruelling but absolutely worth it. Growing up in a small village on a farm in Norway, and then being a part of this is nothing I could ever dreamt of. We say “only in Dubai” because everything is possible, and no where else could this kind of event have been better organized. Congrats to everyone taking part, and thanks to all those always cheering! قاد سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم ولي عهد دبي رئيس المجلس التنفيذي لإمارة دبي فريق "F3" إلى الاحتفاظ بلقب الألعاب الحكومية للمرة الثانية التي اختتمت اليوم في دبي بعد أربعة أيام من المنافسات المثيرة.

وتبرع فريقي " F3 " للسيدات والرجال بقيمة الجائزة البالغة مليوني درهم للأعمال الخيرية.

وفاز فريق " F3 " بلقب الرجال بعدما تغلب على الفرق المتأهلة إلى المرحلة النهائية لاجتياز تحدي البارجة، حيث حل فريق شرطة أبوظبي في المركز الثاني، وفريق شرطة دبي في المركز الثالث.

وتوّج سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم الفرق الفائزة بالمراكز الثلاثة الأولى مؤكدا سموه أن مبادرة الألعاب الحكومية عكست نموذجا مميزا للعمل الجماعي بروح الفريق الواحد.. وبهذه الروح والتكاتف فإننا سنصل إلى أهدافنا وتطلعاتنا الريادية.

يذكر أن تحدي الرجال قد فاق تحدي السيدات من حيث صعوبته حيث كان الزمن المتاح لتحدي السيدات ساعة كاملة في حين بلغ الزمن المتاح للرجال 45 دقيقة إلى جانب إضافة أوزان وتحديات أكثر لفرق الرجال لزيادة الحماس والإثارة والتحدي بين مختلف الفرق.

من جانبها توجت سمو الشيخة لطيفة بنت محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس هيئة دبي للثقافة والفنون، فريق " F3 " النسائي بلقب فئة السيدات، إلى جانب فريق هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي في المركز الثاني، ومطارات دبي في المركز الثالث.

وتقدم سعادة عبدالله محمد البسطي الأمين العام للمجلس التنفيذي لإمارة دبي بخالص التهنئة لسمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم لفوز فريق " F3 " للسيدات والرجال بلقب البطولة للعام 2019، كما توجه بالتهنئة لأصحاب المركزين الثاني والثالث، وإلى جميع الفرق التي شاركت في النسخة الثانية من بطولة الألعاب الحكومية وساهمت في إنجاحها.

وتضمن تحدي البارجة تسلق منحدر على ارتفاع 4 أمتار، والسباحة والجري لمسافات طويلة مع الأثقال وعبور مسار انزلاقي، وغيرها من العوائق الأخرى.. وشاركت في هذه الجولة 6 فرق للسيدات ومثلها للرجال.
