The immense impact of the explosion derailed and overturned two train carriages, triggering a massive fire that gutted surrounding residential buildings and burned dozens of parked vehicles. Security forces have cordoned off the entire site as emergency rescue teams sift through the burning wreckage for survivors. The insurgent group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the deadly "fidayeen" suicide operation.
