DESFA introduces the LNG Terminal of Revithoussa

DESFA (Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator) has a full and exclusive right to the operation, management, maintenance and development of the National Natural Gas System and Revithoussa Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal. The LNG Terminal of Revithoussa, which was commissioned in February 2000, receives LNG by carrier, stores it or vaporizes it and injects the gas into the National Natural Gas System. The terminal has a total storage capacity of 130,000 m3 and after its 2nd upgrade, the capacity will be increased to 225.000 m3. Τhe project is currently into progress and will benefit both competition and security of supply.
