Baited Spring Pole Cable Snare Set

With the loop resting at a 45 deg angle, this set does not require an animal to place it's head though the loop, but rather in front of. I use a 24" Thompson self-locking cable snare . This length make a 8" loop, perfect for medium size critters. Avoid placing too close to trees or heavy brush that the snare cord can get wrapped around. Not necessary to lift the animal off the ground. Fighting the spring pole will tire an animal quickly. Small can screwed to trigger stick makes baiting fast and easy. Coons will usually be caught by a front foot. Use a mushy or pasty bait that is hard get out of bait can.
