Jammu and Kashmir's security landscape is witnessing a shift from terrorism to organized crime, evident in a recent shootout at Kathua's Government Medical College. The incident involved the killing of a gangster named Vasudev alias Shunnu and a probationary sub-inspector, Deepak Sharma. Shunnu, associated with a criminal group was engaged in a confrontation with the police. Despite efforts by SI Sharma, he succumbed to injuries sustained during the exchange of fire.
