David Allen & Mick Ewing, both regular at The Smugglers of Sunderland's Sunday night 'Buskers Night' extravaganza, perform a favourite of theirs 'The Fields of Athenry', penned by Peter St John in the 1970s Tis about a fictional Irishman called Michael, and it is set during the Irish potato famine of 1845~1850.
