A little summary of my build.

I got the gearbox numbers wrong.
The five speed manual which was in there originally is the 717.441 and the six speed i put in is the 716.663.
For those playing along at home, the 716.65x and 716.66x are all the SG-S400 or SG-S370 so they can take a beating.
(under)rated for 400nm or 370nm

I'm also planning on redoing the shift linkage, because mine is not very reliable. There is a newer style that doesn't require that nerve wrecking cable.
