Pashasana Step-by-Step & Variations - Intermediate Series

Pashasana is one of those poses that can look easier that it really is. We need to have a sense of balance and then the flexibility to be able to wrap the arms around the legs. In this short, I give a couple of options to 'work in the direction' of the pose and step by step how to eventually balance and bind.

00:51 Second Step - squatting to sit and back
01:18 Third Step - strengthening adductors
02:10 Explanation of how not to pinch the front of the hips/groins & keep bandhas
04:35 Explanation of the anatomical alignment of the arms for binding
07:42 Fourth Step - variation with a block
08:35 Explanation of twisting effect on pelvis and keeping the toes level or not
09:42 Back to Fourth Step with block
13:10 Fifth Step - being able to squat with lift of bandhas and twist
15:30 Balancing and putting your hands in prayer
The bind is just like the cherry on the cake from this point.
