BASIC SEISMIC INTERPRETATION FOR RESERVOIR IDENTIFICATION- IDRIS BUKAR

During subsurface field development workflows, engineers encounter reservoirs of various shapes and sizes usually delineated from seismic data as part of the geoscience workflow. This session is aimed mainly for non-geoscientists, particularly engineers, to provide a basic understanding of the process of identification and delineation of oil and gas reservoirs from seismic and well data.

Idris Bukar is a lecturer in the Department of Petroleum Engineering of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
He holds a B.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering and an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience for Reservoir Development & Production.
He has been an SPE member for 13 years and is currently the Faculty Advisor of ATBU Student Chapter of SPE. He is also a member of AAPG, EAGE and SEG.
His areas of interest include Formation Evaluation/Petrophysics, Reservoir Geo-mechanics and Qualitative and Quantitative Seismic Interpretation.
