Bristol university is imposing mandatory training to combat ‘thin privilege’ on campus. It comes after the Student Council condemned the use of the C-word (calories), and phrases like “let’s slim those waistlines”, branding them fat-phobic, offensive and encouraging of so-called “thin privilege”. But is banning the c-word just pandering to those who are overweight?
