Best treatment for iron deficiency anemia in children

Iron deficiency anemia is the most common nutritional disorder in the world, but the best treatment for it had never been conclusively determined. In a first-of-its-kind clinical trial to treat the condition in children, researchers at UT Southwestern compared the effectiveness of two different supplements. What they learned is that sweet doesn’t always spell success.
