Why did I write this song?

There was a time when I felt like I was constantly trying to become someone else just to belong. Walking into rooms full of people laughing, talking, connecting… while inside I felt completely disconnected.

Like I was there physically, but watching everything from a distance.

This song came from those moments.

From the pressure of trying to fit into expectations, copying behaviors, laughing half a second late at jokes just to look like you belong. From scrolling through thousands of perfect lives online and wondering why yours feels so different.

“Maybe I Am” is about identity, self-doubt, and the quiet fear that maybe you’re not built for the world the same way everyone else seems to be.

But it’s also about something else.

The moment when you stop trying on different masks… and start asking a more honest question:

What if I’m not broken?
What if I’m just still learning who I really am?
