How To Take Contact Lenses Out for Beginners | 1-800 Contacts

New to contacts? Enjoy this easy guide on how to take your contacts out. Emphasis on the “easy!”

All you need to get started is your bathroom sink, a clean countertop, soap, and a towel. And your contacts in, of course.

Step 1 - Wash hands with unscented soap and dry with a lint-free towel.

Step 2 - Put a towel over the sink to keep your contact lens from going down the drain.

Step 3 - Open wide. Pull your upper eyelid up and your lower eyelid down.

Step 4 - Use your thumb and pointer finger to gently pinch the outer edges of the lens toward each other. The lens will come away from your eye.
