Corium Mine Perfume Lab review — bright up top, leather + resin in the core, and way more wearable than you’d expect.
If you like leather scents but hate the “too much” versions, this one might be your lane.

Welcome back to The InScentive Collection — I’m Brandon, and we’re staying in the Mine Perfume Lab (MPL) universe. Today’s fragrance is Corium, and I’m going to be real: the brand copy had me expecting leather in every direction… and on skin, it actually delivers that leather vibe, but in a smoother, more approachable way.

Right off the spray I caught a bright top with a vetiver-type base energy — not saying it is anything else, but it gave me that clean, lifted opening before the darker elements settled in. Then the leather starts to show itself and the whole thing leans into leather + resinous territory.

I got a strong comparison feeling to a leather fragrance I’ve smelled before, but Corium is the PG-13 version — still dark, still masculine, still bold… just not as aggressive. It feels more complete, more rounded, and more “wear this as-is” instead of “this needs layering.”

Notes (from the brand copy in the script):
• Top: Leather
• Heart: Leather
• Base: Leather

Now… respectfully… there’s more happening on skin than that. The takeaway is leather, but the experience has texture — resinous, slightly metallic at moments, and it changes a bit in the first few minutes before it evens out.

Wearability: fall/winter, darker vibe, and I’d call it genderless but definitely leaning masculine in feel. It’s also strong — not a “shy” scent — but it’s not oppressive.

Would I buy it? I need another wearing to know for sure, but I’m impressed with how wearable this leather interpretation is.

Question for you: are you a leather scent person, or does leather usually bully your whole day? And if you’ve tried Mine Perfume Lab (MPL), what’s your favorite from the house?
