Cheap (but good) wireless system for creators - Godox MoveLink M2
The Godox MoveLink M2 is a compact 2.4GHz digital wireless mic system with 2 mics and receiver for $199.
Godox sent me their MoveLink M2 wireless system to try out, back in November. From the start I was impressed by the little mics and receiver. Recording them cleanly was a bit of an unexpected challenge, and I'll share some tips in this video.
You get:
2 mic/transmitters and 1 receiver
Charging case (no internal battery)
2 omnidirectional lavalier microphones
fluffy wind filters
TRS and TRRS coiled cables for phone, and camera/line input connection
I recommend adding a cable for XLR connection for easier use with portable recorders and audio interfaces.
Depending on your equipment there may be a few ways to connect and may require some trial and error to get optimal results.
This isn't really a review of the MoveLink system, just sharing my experience, some examples, and tips. I hope you find this video useful.
You'll hear this mic system tested for sound quality when connected to a phone, computer, and camera. I do not have access to competing mic systems by Rode, Saramonic, DJI, etc. to compare.
Thanks to Godox for sending me this great little wireless system.
