In this video we are going to look at what side-chain compression is, how to set it up (two ways!), where to use it, and we will also look at the two most common examples of where this technique is used; Kick and bass & Kick and pads!
This is a great little tool to have in your toolbox and it really helps to make the kick and bass work better together.
Although I am demonstrating it in Logic and the steps might be a bit different for the other DAWs, the principles are universal.
