Our Company History

Alien Fresh Jerky® got started with a trip to Rachel, Nevada, in October of 1997. The family intrigue for what exactly was Area-51, and knowing that the closest place to it was the small community of Rachel in Nevada, a road trip was in call. When we got to Rachel, to our surprise we came upon the Area-51 Research Center, the Little A'Le'Inn (pronounced 'alien'), and a whole lot of desert.

In late 2000, Luis makes the decision to try selling some jerky, nuts, olives, and honey along the interstate there in Crystal Springs, which is about 40 miles due southeast of Rachel. The brand name used was 'Alien Fresh Jerky®', and it stuck, so much that later in 2002, when the store was moved, a decision had to be made whether to keep the Alien Fresh Jerky® name or change it to something else. The name was kept, and now just about anyone traveling to or from Las Vegas on that I-15 stretch between state line primm and barstow knows that if you want some 'out of this world' jerky, you gotta stop at Alien Fresh Jerky®!
