is the capital city of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. As the only Indonesian royal city still ruled by a monarchy, Yogyakarta is regarded as an important centre for classical Javanese fine arts and culture such as ballet, batik textiles, drama, literature, music, poetry, silversmithing, visual arts, and wayang puppetry. Renowned as a centre of Indonesian education, Yogyakarta is home to a large student population and dozens of schools and universities, including Gadjah Mada University (the country's largest institute of higher education and one of its most prestigious).
Yogyakarta is the capital of the Yogyakarta Sultanate and served as the Indonesian capital from 1946 to 1948 during the Indonesian National Revolution, with Gedung Agung as the president's office.

is the capital of Thua Thien-Hue Province. Lying on a plain backed by foothills of the Annamese Cordillera and situated 8 km from the South China Sea coast, Hue is traversed by the broad, shallow Huong River (Hue River, or Perfume River). At the city’s heart, on the river’s left bank, is the Chinese-style Vietnamese imperial citadel, Dai Noi, from which the Nguyen family controlled southern and central Vietnam from the mid-16th to the mid-20th century. The citadel’s 11-km walled circumference enclosed priceless artifacts of Vietnamese civilization. During colonial times the French quarter was on the right bank. The commercial section of the city is located to the east of the imperial capital.
The city was the battleground for the Battle of Huế, which was one of the longest and bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War.
